thinking.JOB DESCRIPTIONThe Planning, Design, and Construction
Department, a part of Fox Studio Lot Development & Operations, is
seeking a full-time design and construction Associate Manager to
work on design and construction projects on the Fox Studio Lot and
support Facilities.The Planning, Design, and Construction
Department plans, manages, and executes Capital Projects across the
studio lot. We are regularly involved with several construction
projects on campus managing all phases of the project from
inception to completion. We work with third-party consultants and
contractors, as well as with Facilities and Lot trades teams. We
support Maintenance and MEP projects and teams as needed with
drawings and research on existing historic building project
documentation.The project types vary, including but are not limited
to, tenant improvements in the existing lot buildings; remodels of
studio support facilities; broadcasting/post-production/technical
and editing spaces; and campus exterior site areas including
hardscape, landscape, and underground utilities.A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support PDC in the administrative activities of Capital
Projects including scheduling meetings; preparing scope and budget
documentation for project approvals; preparing and tracking project
budgets and vendor payments; and tracking agreements with project
contractors, vendors, and consultants.
- Maintenance and archival of construction project files and
documents for the facilities premises working closely with PDC on
filing systems and processes including the research and maintenance
of architectural and engineering project drawings and lot building
historic drawings and files.
- Coordinate with Designers, Building Services, and Purchasing
Department on furniture selections, orders, and deliveries as they
relate to Capital Projects.
- Assist Plant Operations in managing lot buildings including
email notifications, work authorizations, active presence in the
Facilities premises, and other activities as needed.
- Assist PDC in preparing drawings, details, and sketches for
small TI projects developed by PDC team internally including
schematic floor plans, diagrams, and layouts based on end-user
programmatic requirements to establish scope and cost.
- Assist in Lot wide requests to provide drawings and project
information.
- City of LA Code research for egress and accessibility
requirements.
- Interface with FOX Lot trades and other departments during
pricing and construction phases.
- Maintain and file electronic drawing files in the PDC plan
archives for current and past projects.WHAT YOU WILL NEED
- Working towards or graduated with a College Degree in Design
and Construction related field (Architecture, Interior Design,
Engineering, or Project/Construction Management).
- 3+ years of professional experience, preferably in
corporate/commercial projects.
- Proficiency and experience with AutoCAD and/or Bluebeam.
- Basic proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and
Outlook.
- Ability to interact professionally with different types of
personalities.
- Exhibit collaborative skills to communicate effectively with
teams of various disciplines, clients, and Facilities teams.
- Willingness to multi-task when working on several projects at
the same time.
- Strong attention to accuracy and detail, as well as exceptional
follow-up skills.NICE TO HAVE BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER
- Basic knowledge of the City of LA Building Code Egress and ADA
Chapters.
- Experience in a campus environment.
- Experience in Photoshop, Sketchup, Revit.Working
Conditions:Occasionally, weekends or off-hours work is required for
Sports events or construction activities taking place on the lot.
Sometimes deadlines may require additional work beyond business

to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for
this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills,
experience, and location is: $67,000.00-80,000.00 annually for
California. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary
bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision,
insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in
accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union
represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable
collective bargaining agreement.
