This position is considered remote which means it does not require job duties be performed within proximity of a CohnReznick office location. However, as a remote employee, you may be required to be present at a CohnReznick office with scheduled notice for client work, team meetings, or trainings.YOUR TEAM.This position will support our National Tax Team, which in turn supports the firm's broader tax practice. • Coordinate with the core tax service delivery groups, with SALT team support, on presenting and implementing diversified consulting opportunities including audit defense/controversy, nexus studies, apportionment reviews, restructurings, and merger/acquisition situations.
• Emphasis on daily SALT tax technical reading to help derive planning ideas to be marketed to clients & prospects.
• Regular interaction with clients on SALT compliance & consulting engagements as well as proposals.
• Help to mentor staff on more value-added SALT projects & initiatives including identifying planning opportunities.
• Researching issues and drafting technical memoranda regarding various state tax matters.
• Serving as a technical resource and developing governmental relationships on state and local tax matters.YOUR EXPERIENCE.The successful candidate will have:
  • 8+ years of work experience within a public accounting firm or law firm.
  • Extensive SALT experience required.
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • JD or CPA license achieved.
